The Student Investment Fund provides students at the ESADE Business School with "hands on" investment experience. Students participating in the Fund manage a real portfolio of exchange-listed stocks, bonds, and money market investments. Students perform both individual and group research projects, learn about various analytical techniques, and make presentations before leading finance practitioners.

The general structure and premise of the fund is as follows:

1. The student investment fund is a separate legal entity and is registered with Barcelona Stock Exchange.

2. Individuals interested in participating in the fund would become members by investing their personal funds.

3. The fund's primary goals are to learn about market and company valuations techniques, asset management and to network with like-minded professionals.

4. The members would actively manage the fund essentially acting as fund managers.
